- Step 1: Open Veeam Backup
- Step 2: Select Backup Infrastructure to add your XNS relayer
- Step 3: Click add Repository
- Step 4: Name your Backup Repository
- Step 5: Add your XNS relayer details and add Credentials
- Step 6: Click Browse to select Bucket you want to store your backup files/folders
- Step 7: Mount server can be default, unless you want different server and/or cache location
- Step 8: Review Settings, click Apply and your XNS Backup Repository will be created created
- Step 9: To start adding files and/or folders to backup, select Backup job and then File Share
- Step 10: Create a File Server. This is a Source server from where you want to select backup files and/or Folders
- Step 11: After server is created new widow will pop to create A File Backup Job. Name your job and click Next
- Step 12: Select Files and/or Folders that you want to back up to your XNS Destination
- Step 13: Select previously created XNS Backup Repository
- Step 14: Select Schedule and click next, review Summary and click finish. If you didn’t configure any schedule click Run the job when I finish and your backup will start
- Step 15: Review the progress
- Step 16: After successful back up you will see Status Success confirmation

Overview
Veeam is an app that backs up your files to your cloud storage account or NAS. Veeam is compatible with S3 protocol destinations, so it makes a good match for XNS storage.

Prerequisites
- Install Veeam Backup from here
- Install the XNS Relayer
- Configure the XNS Relayer’s Endpoint Access Key and Endpoint Secret Key
Setup Guide
Step 1: Open Veeam Backup
Step 2: Select Backup Infrastructure to add your XNS relayer
Step 3: Click add Repository
Step 4: Name your Backup Repository
Service Point | [Your IP]:[MinIO Port] | This is the IP or hostname of your XNS Relayer and the port defined in the Advanced Settings (‘MINIO_PORT’, default is 9000). |
