Duplicati
Learn how to use Duplicati with XNS storage to create routine backs up plans
Overview
Duplicati is a backup client that securely stores encrypted, incremental, compressed remote backups of local files on cloud storage services and remote file servers.
Prerequisites
- Install Duplicati from https://www.duplicati.com/
- Install the XNS Relayer
- Configure the XNS Relayer’s Endpoint Access Key and Endpoint Secret Key
Setup Guide
Step 1: Open Duplicati
After the installation, Duplicati will open as a webapp in your browser. We want to select (+)Add Backup as shown below.
Step 2: Follow the setup Wizard
Click Next at the first screen of the installation wizard. You select the backup destination and then enter a name, description, and any desired encryption for your backup volumes.
Step 3: Add a New Storage Account and Enter Credentials
From the drop-down menu labeled Storage Types, select S3 Compatible. Then enter your S3 credentials. Ensure to select Use SSL if your relayer instance is setup using SSL. Also note we selected Minio SDK from the Client Library to use drop-down.
Step 4: Select the sources to backup
Select the files and folders you wish to store in this particular s3 bucket.
Step 5: Complete the Wizard
Complete the wizard and select the duration and scheduling of your backups. Once completed you should see the backup task on the Home tab of Duplicati. Simply click Run now to begin the backup process.
