Every number here comes from a file you can read.
Our rate is fetched from pricing.json when the page loads, which is the same document our sales terms point at. Competitor rates are fetched from competitors.json, where each vendor carries the date it was read and a link to the page it was read from.
That arrangement exists because the alternative failed. Competitor figures used to be typed into each page by hand, and in September 2026 an audit found two of them stale on one page while the same two were correct on another — the site disagreeing with itself about what a competitor charges. One file fixes the class of error, not just the instance.
Stored volume is your source data plus daily change multiplied by retention days — incremental-forever, the way a backup tool actually accumulates. Reads are expressed as multiples of stored volume per month, because that is the shape every egress policy is written in. Both derived figures are printed above the table, so nothing is happening that you cannot check.
List prices only. No negotiated rates, no committed-use discounts, no free-tier credits beyond the standing allowances each vendor publishes. Per-request charges, cold-tier retrieval fees and minimum retention periods are named in the notes rather than modelled, because they depend on an access pattern this page does not ask you for — and a calculator that guesses at them would be worse than one that says so.
